About SnoCo Mommy & Me

WELCOME

We are a group of moms who live in North Snohomish County. We have children of all ages. We welcome stay-at-home moms, work-from-home moms, work-away-from-home moms and expecting moms! This group is dedicated to providing weekly fun activities for you and your children, frequent play dates for the little ones, monthly Mom's Night Outs to have adult conversation, and monthly weekend events for the whole family. Our message boards are always open for sharing ideas, gaining inspiration, comments, and general parenting issues. Come to a meetup to share experiences, find advice, give support, and make new friends. We look forward to meeting you soon!

NEW MEMBERS

o To be approved as a member, you need to complete your profile and post a picture. This is so we can get to know you!

o Any mom is allowed to join the group. We welcome stay at home moms, working moms, work from home moms, and newly expecting moms!

o You may attend meetups in your first month for free. If you decide our group is for you the $12 yearly fee will be due after your first month. Please give to an organizer at any event. (The fee is to help offset the costs of having the Meetup website, Babysitter Exchange site, snacks & supplies for crafts at playdates, and more!)

o You need to attend a meetup within 30 days of joining the group

MEMBERSHIP

o Once you've joined us, please don't be shy...we'd love for you to join us at meetups! For this reason, all members need to attend at least one meetup each month.

o Please RSVP for each event: Yes, No, or Maybe. Even if your answer is no, it will help us plan successfully for each event.

o If you need to change you RSVP to no within 24 hours of an event, please contact an organizer or the hostess via phone or email so we will know how many to expect. We understand life happens, things come up, and kids get sick. If something comes up last minute and you can't make it to the event, please be courteous and notify us of the change.

o Members who "no-show" on a Yes RSVP 3 times or more are subject to removal

o Visit our meetup site at least once every two weeks.

o Participate on our message board!

o No drama! Any mamas engaging in drama (either at meetups or on the website) are subject to immediate removal

GETTING TOGETHER

o We will have at least: 2 weekend meetups each month, 1 Moms Night Out each month, and 1 weekend event (that is for the whole family)

o In an attempt to keep our playgroup as healthy as possible, please do not attend an event if your child has had any of the following symptoms in the past 48 hours: diarrhea, vomiting, fever, sore throat/cough, eye drainage/bloodshot eyes, cold symptoms, or spot-like rash. Or if your child has been on antibiotics for less than 48 hours.

o We encourage all members to host a playdate: either at their house or out in the community. Contact an organizer to help plan the event. Members are also welcome to host home parties (i.e. Partylite, Tupperware, etc), though we will only post two home parties per month on the group calendar. Members are always welcome to post their home parties on the message board.

INACTIVE MEMBERS

We want to keep our members active and involved in the group. One way to do this is to prevent "lurkers." "Lurkers" are members who have joined the group, but never attend any of the group events. Since members' addresses and personal information are given for profiles and playgroups, we want to keep this information safe. Therefore the following guidelines are to keep all our members active & safe and prevent "lurkers".

Members are considered inactive if they:
1. have not visited the community website in over a month.
2. have not attended an event in over a month.
3. have not paid the quarterly dues.

Each member will be given special consideration before being removed from the group. Members removed from the group may renew their membership after removal.

SPECIAL PROGRAMS

o Babysitter Exchange site

o Special discount days at local businesses (childrens consignment stores, etc)

o Opportunities for community service with your child (food drive, tree planting, park cleanup, angel tree for sponsoring a child in need for Christmas, and more!)

FEEDBACK

o The Organizer and Assistant Organizers welcome your suggestions/concerns/questions. Contact us via email at any time. We will respond promptly.
