As a Spanish speaking mother, I'd like my son to have some of the opportunities I did in growing up listening to and speaking Spanish. It is not just about the language, but the culture as well- food, dance and fun! This group is for fluent/native speakers, but also for those who are learning. It's a chance for parents- mums or dads or both to chat and for kids to play together in a relaxed environment.
My husband, Mia and I moved to Brisbane in July this year (from New Zealand). I couldn't find any German playgroups and really wanted to meet some other German or German speaking mums and their babies/toddlers, so I started this group. We are still quite a small group - there are four of us who have met regularly for a few weeks now. So we welcome new members! :-) We recently started to do some German story time etc during the playgroup and we are planning on listening to german songs, watch …
… Once we know one another well and the playgroup is established, we can be creative and take it further providing additional support, e.g. taking turns in looking after the kids, or anything else we agree on doing. I want the moms who join this group to feel genuinely comfortable and supported, but most of all to have fun. I am not requiring anyone to attend a certain number of meetups per month... if you feel the events are not meeting your needs, please post some ideas of fun things to do.... m …

I have lots of German books, CDs, some toys and DVDs that I'm happy to share and exchange amongst our group. Look forward to hearing from you and we …

JRTs are a highly energetic breed that, unfortunately, can sometimes be very bossy to other breeds. However, they get along just fine with their own breed, and importantly, if they have a skirmish, they're less likely to get hurt. Mostly its the noise! We're about trying to find off lease areas that are great for Jack Russells, and where they can meet up with others.
