The South Bay Playgroup is intended to foster friendships for our children as well as ourselves. Most of the children are ages 0-5 but all ages of children are welcome.  We have playdates at parks, museums, in-home, the mall, the zoo, almost anywhere we can let the kids run around and burn off some energy! Gifted children are cognitively advanced, but emotionally they are often at age level. I'm starting this group in order to give our children playmates who are on their level, or at least nearer to it. This group will be best suited to children under 11. My daughter is nearly 4 (in 4/11), so I'm particularly hoping for gifted children from 2-6 yrs of age. As this group grows we can, if it seems like a good idea, sort the kids into groups by age.

There are plenty of "super mom" groups, but what about the dads? Our family is basically the show "Up All Night" -- working mom, stay at home dad, and a super-cute kiddo born mid-2011. This group is for casual playdates at parks or members' houses. We're in Saratoga, so Campbell, Santa Clara, Los Gatos, and surrounding areas are what we have in mind. The goal of this Meetup is a healthy and happy family.  Where the parents are relaxed and happy and the kids are happy and stress free.  In order to do this we come together most Sunday afternoons, to have some fun, release stress and learn ways to keep it that way.
